Jay W. Furst

Mr. Furst, a founding principal of Forteris Wealth Management, oversees all of the trading and investment activities of this independent Registered Investment Advisor.

He has more than 20 years of direct experience managing equity portfolios for individual, family and institutional client relationships. In addition to being involved in all aspects of the managing of the firm, Jay leverages his broad range of experience and knowledge for unique client benefit — collaborating with clients to formulate objective investment strategies that will successfully answer their immediate needs and long-term goals. He works closely with the firm’s strategic partners at TD Ameritrade Institutional as well as with intermediaries, such as lawyers and accountants, in the development of targeted marketing initiatives.

Forteris Wealth Management became a member firm in support of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) in 2006. Sharing many of the core visions and values of the firm, the organization works to ensure that individuals have access to financial advisors who meet the highest standards for professional ability, comprehensive financial planning and fee-only compensation.

Before founding the firm, Jay worked at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., LLC. Sanford Bernstein is now a unit of AllianceBernstein L.P., with over $100 Billion in assets under management.
